Welcome!

2nd Kentucky Cavalry, Co. C is  based in Southern California.  It is a mounted cavalry unit under the leadership of Lt. Murray Settle.  Our goal is to honor and portray the Confederate Civil War Cavalryman who fought with General John B. Morgan.

We train and utilize the drill manuals of the 1800s for our military impressions. The members are trained in the safe use of arms and equipment used by cavalry troopers during that time. Equipment used is either original or exact reproductions that are painstakingly researched.

2nd Kentucky Mounted Cavalry often performs living history demonstrations and educational presentations at events.
